Free Textures Giveaway, Meditation Center Pack
To kick-off the freebies section on this blog I’ll start by sharing some of the materials used in the creation of the Meditation Center project I first posted on [PushPullBar]2. 3D Studio Max Script, Building Generator v0.35
Had a little play with the new update to the Building Generator script for 3D Studio Max. Works really good and can create nice city landscape with a few clicks of a mouse. The image you see above is the result of a few minutes of modeling and some postwork.
Maxwell Render Version 2 Released
Next Limit released Maxwell Render version 2 today. This initial release is for current customers only, new users will be handled later on it seems. This major new version is said to bring an arsenal of new features, enhancements and additions. I’ll have to check these all out in the following weeks.
Amazing lady bug swarm video and music
Following along the lines of the previous post Amazing Kuroshio sea aquarium video and music, This is yet another such video. Michael Ramsey shot this during the annual lady bug swarm at the mountains above Boulder Colorado using a Canon 5D with Canon L Series lenses (24-70 and 70-200).
Google Sketchup 7.1 Available
SketchUP 7.1 was released today by Google. This new version will be a free upgrade for existing Pro users, and has emphasis on Google Earth and 3D Warehouse integration. Layout was also bumped to version 2.1 adding the much requested dimensioning feature
How To 2D Postwork a 3D render, N2 Residence
I’ve posted a thread over at PushPullBar about N2 Residence project’s design process. Here I’m posting about the 2D postwork done to achieve the render above. I had a very short time to create this image, so I left much to be done after the actual render. Ideally i would have loved to recreate the site in 3D as-well. Hope you enjoy this.
This type of image editing in crunching time doesn’t really have a strict logic to it. I had to find images for the moon, sky, reflections on the water and city lights. Some of which i had in my private library and others i found on the web. I also did some hand painting using a Wacom tablet.
