Academy Day 3 Interviews
I’ve mentioned State of Art’s Academy Day 3 here on the blog a month ago. Since then they released the Interviews Roberto De Rose did with all of us on the panel, and I’m gathering them all here for you to watch. This was a great initiative by Roberto and Gianpiero. One that I hope will expand next time with more people being interviewed.
Hovering in BF House / OAB + ADI
I love, love… LOVE, this hovering BF House designed by OAB + ADI. I’m a big fan of Carlos Ferrater work in any case, but this one is almost exactly what I had in mind for my Hover Challenge entry (which I did not finish, and had larger scale of venue to it) and it is built for real and looks amazing. I’m very fond of the courtyard housing typology and there is so much to learn from Joan Guillamat’s Photos taken here… The play of light outside and within the courtyard. The relation between the built house and the garden it floats on top of. The materials under the light… Enjoy this one!
Making of House Roces
I’ve seen a lot of great 3d visuals being made with Cinema4D + VRayForC4D lately and this set by Mouton Burger is not an exception to that. Picking a great house design such as the Roces House by Govaert & Vanhoutte architectuurburo and doing that using ArchiCAD, Cinema4D and VRayForC4D – all of which I never used… Made it a prime subject for a blog article which Mouton was happy to take on and share a bit of his workflow with us all. Enjoy!
The Pool Shophouse / FARM
Not sure why they call this one a Shophouse. designed by FARM, this looks like a super cool house to live in. It is also a great showcase of light playing with bricks, wood, tiles and water. Great photos taken here by Jeremy San.
Forest Pack + RailClone Submitted Image Winners / Mateusz Grzybowski + Kcpr Raffael
Congratulations to Kcpr Raffael & Mateusz Grzybowski for winning the iToo Software Image Submit Giveaway!. Like Day & Night, besides the obvious, they also contrast in architectural nature – Urban vs. Rural. Both of them make use of Forest Pack but Kcpr also used RailClone for paving and curbs all around the neighborhood. Big thanks to iToo Software sponsoring this giveaway and to all who took part in it… see you in the next one!
Ant-house / mA-style architects
Austere outside but lush yellow inside, covered by larch plywood and great lighting seeping in. This house, designed by mA-style architects, features an interesting ring plan and plenty of plywood reference for you to explore.
