In anticipation of a miracle

This project was inspired by Christmas atmosphere and lovely new fashion of floral chandlers.

I think an attainment of balance between tradition perception and modern currents was the most difficult task for me.

As base I took 3 colours: red, green and warm yellow (they are associated with Christmas classicaly). It and thoughtful light immediately set the general atmosphere. In the choice of materials the restriction of fantasy was no longer necessary. As a result 2 big peeed brances hang on air on thin cables, they are carcass for all other elements. Wood are connected by a garland whose stands stretched to a straight line and rhythmically repeating light bulbs contrast with the smooth bendings of the trees and the prickly chaos of the pine branches and the pampas grass.

From the technical point of view, I modeled and textured all decor in this scene. Used 3dsmax, V-Ray, GrowFX and Photoshop.

Open Hand – Le Corbusier

Open Hand is my latest personal project,

this time I wanted to present it in a different way. I imagined it as a virtual reportage of a place that has always fascinated me but I haven’t visited yet. The fact of not having been there, lived it and known it, has allowed me to not be influenced in any way, and this has allowed me to imagine the sculpture as if it were a theatrical scene to be manipulated.

For me is important to think the render like a virtual photo and not like only a digital image. I previsualize each image in my mind, choosing the parameters to use to get the result I want.

In these images there is no post production (just a bit of glare on the black and white image done in ArionFX), I thought of everything before, as I do when I shoot with my analogue cameras.

Petrol City

Images created for a concept of the shopping center in Turkey. This center contains a wide area of semi-open spaces and terraces, full of cafe and restaurants. We were given very limited time – 2 days to create a few images, capturing the essence of the project, so it was quite a challenge.

Luxurious Row Houses – Copenhagen

Slightly North of Copenhagen, Denmark my client is turning an older property in to several exclusive row houses.

I was hired to work with them and their interior designer to create these interior shots.

Ideally I would have loved if they wanted to go with more shots of the same space instead of the standard “all in one shot”.

But there’s always a budget 😉

A shame really, as I loved working on this project. Quite a different look compared to the usual off-plan homes too.

AUDITORIO CIUDAD DE LEON

Every now and then we try to develop some in house project to work on new workflows and tools, and of course, have some fun! We have developed some views of this amazing building in Leon, Spain, and it was an opportunity for us to include all the usual postproduction elements directly within the renderer.
